Personal Experience
Sean Leventhal has years of experience in various types of personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, birth injuries, civil rights, auto accidents, ski accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death. Sean has litigated catastrophic injury cases in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, and Nebraska. Sean has helped obtain numerous multi-million-dollar settlements and verdicts for his clients.
Sean also has extensive experience representing policyholders against their insurance companies in situations where the insurance company acts in “bad faith,” wrongfully denying or delaying paying valid claims. These claims include property damage, medical procedures, life insurance, and business interruption policies.
Sean has been recognized on the Super Lawyers list as a “Rising Star” from 2017 through 2021, and as a “Super Lawyer” from 2022 through 2025. Super Lawyers is a rating service for outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. The Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than 5 percent of attorneys in each state. Sean is a member of the National Trial Lawyers for inclusion in the Top 40 Under 40 Association. Membership into the Top 40 Under 40 is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications, results, and leadership as a young trial lawyer. Sean is also an instructor at the National Institute for Trial Lawyers (NITA).
Outside of the courtroom, Sean is a professional pilot. Sean held the rank of captain at a commuter airline, and more recently, flew the Boeing 737 for a commercial airline. Sean is a Federal Aviation Administration Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI), currently flight instructing at Centennial Airport in the Denver area. Sean maintains currency and proficiency on all his FAA licenses and ratings – from Airline Transport Pilot to his Flight and Ground Instructor ratings.
Sean graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and was admitted into the Order of St. Ives, an honorary distinction for graduating in the top 10% of his class.
Sean is a Colorado native. He enjoys skiing, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family.
